So moved down to front axle, I can move the actuator shaft the ~5mm left and right so that's not seized. Both vent caps are venting, the solenoids appear to be operating correctly (not stuck, can manually get them to deviate air through top/bottom outlets) 37.5ohms at both which is within tolerance. I've removed the freewheel clutch control solenoid unit from the o/s inner wing (near air box) and resistance tested this. Checked all 5 again and found 2 out of the original 3 that I hadn't replaced had wires barely holding on by a thread so opted to change the last three, so all 5 transfer switches are just over a week old but the light hasn't gone out this time. Firstly removed all 5 and found 2 dud.replaced those 2 and all happy for just 24 hours when centre diff light re-appeared.

I have removed and tested all 5 switches on top of the transfer box - though in two stages. I have a 2005 Mk3 Shogun, 3.2 Swb (auto) with a flashing centre diff light.
