We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others. TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success. In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC). Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Oregon and across the United States. We also offer the option of vocational training and job shadowing for high school graduates. Students that are interested in taking the high school equivalency test (GED) and moving into junior college or the work world will be supported and encouraged.
Clearview offers tutoring, special assistance with any homework problems, and constant contact with teachers to stay informed of the student’s progress. The advanced student that is ready to attend a community school will receive tutoring when necessary and participate in after school activities.Īcademic progress reports will be reported to parents monthly. Students at Clearview live together in our lodge, have daily chores and meet regularly with their therapists who help them confront fears and gain confidence in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.Īll Clearview students begin their studies on the Clearview campus and we have teachers on staff to ensure that all students continue their academic progress. Vocational training for students over the age of 18 including attending North Idaho Community College, Beauty School, Pet Grooming School or Job Shadowing. Teachers are on site to ensure that all students continue their academic progress. The student will then learn therapeutic tools that will assist her the rest of her life to be a healthy woman. The goal is to uncover the psychological factors contributing to the student’s unhealthy behavioral choices.
We also have a Chemical Dependency Counselor on staff to provide extra support in dealing with the unique issues associated with drug addictions.
